STOP, POLICE! – Cover Reveal Day
Today marks a milestone I’ve been working towards for a very long time—the official cover reveal for my memoir, STOP, POLICE!
After months of deliberation (and more than a few rounds of “Is this really the final version?”), the design has finally been approved. From choosing the title, to refining the imagery, to tweaking edit after edit, this cover has been a true labour of love.
The finished design comes courtesy of Chris Stone of Stone Graphic Design, based locally in Portsmouth. Chris has done an exceptional job capturing the essence of my policing career in a way that is both striking and meaningful. The cover features a sequence of locations that shaped my life and the stories within the book:
Rochdale Town Hall, where my journey began
The Twin Towers in New York City, a place that left a lasting imprint
The Tricorn building in Portsmouth, a landmark woven into my early service
And finally, the Spinnaker Tower, standing tall over the city that became home
It’s simple, honest, and true to the spirit of the memoir.
I’m thrilled to share that STOP, POLICE! will be released on 7th April 2026 in all good bookshops. For those who prefer digital reading, ebook pre-orders are now live on Amazon.
Thank you for being part of this journey. The stories are real, the memories are raw, and I can’t wait for you to read them.
